Probiotic + Fermented Skin Food . . .

As many of you know, over the last year or so, I’ve blogged about, posted pictures + given recipes of fermented + probiotic foods and ingredients that I consume + use for J. Lexi products. As I continue study the internal and external benefits of probiotics, I’ve decided to become an expert in including these good bacteria + beneficial ingredients as the foundation of J. Lexi products.

For quality DIY ingredients, check out my Essential Depot, my affiliate partner.

What this means is that I will bring you the very best products that not only cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate, moisturize, strengthen + provide an excellent environment for healthy hair, scalp, face + body . . . but also manufacture products that “do something.”Below are a few changes you can expect starting . . . well, now:

Because my products are formulated to “do something,” going forward, I will refer to my products as “cosmetics.” Per the FDA, the purpose of cosmetics is defined as “articles intended to be rubbed, poured, sprinkled, or sprayed on, introduced into, or otherwise applied to the human body…for cleansing, beautifying, promoting attractiveness, or altering the appearance.” Included in this definition are products such as skin moisturizers, perfumes, lipsticks, fingernail polishes, eye + facial makeup preparations, shampoos, permanent waves, hair colors, toothpastes, and deodorants, as well as any material intended for use as a component of a cosmetic product.

The purpose of soap is to cleanse . . . lotions, moisturize . . . exfoliants, remove dead skin + water, hydrates.  At J. Lexi, our products do soooo much more!

For information on Life Ionizers Alkaline Water Filter, check out my website.

Ninety percent of our cosmetics (like Fermented Papaya) will be made of a base of fermented + probiotic ingredients. Probiotics, when applied topically, help the skin defend itself by strengthening its barrier.

Fermented Rice Water, Kombucha, Vinegar, Kefir + Yogurt will be prominently used, along with fermented fruit, veggies, botanicals, herbs + more and a multi-strain of bacteria including Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactococcus lactis + Bifidobacterium bifidum.  More on these probiotics in additional posts.

I will continue to educate + provide pertinent information, as it relates to the benefits of consuming great probiotics, as well as, why you’d want to put them on your skin.

Ionized acid water will be the only water used in our products.  Why ionized acid water? Ionized acid water is the perfect water to help balance the pH balance of your hair + skin and the micro-clusters are much smaller than tap + bottled water, so it hydrates like none other.

I’d love to communicate with you + share ideas.

That’s it for now. Helping to keep your skin + scalp healthy!
